Amy Childs HD Brows at New Essex Salon – Permanent Makeup

We knew that when Amy Childs opened her brand new beauty salon, The Amy Childs Salon (naturally) the uniform would be suitably body-con and glam.

And yep, we were right. Amy opened her latest business venture in Essex today dressed in a tight purple dress, patterned tights, diamante detailed shoes and a diamante choker.

Her hair was styled in its trademark backcombed curls, the false lashes were expertly applied and those cheekbones got to work as Amy beamed whilst she cut the ribbon and declared the salon ‘Open!’

Amy’s new reality TV show, ‘It’s All About Amy,’ will chart the run-up to the launch but for now we 110% need to book a vajazzle there, doyaknowwhatImean honey?

Good Luck Amy and dont forget to include permanent makeup as part of your treatment list!

Get the look: Katy Perry With Permanent Makeup
Katy Perry is very experimental with her makeup and hair colour – and it always looks perfect – but every look she tries fits her image and somehow becomes signature to Katy Perry.

Her trademarks: proper eye makeup (that means eyeshadow, strong liner and mascara), strong lipstick and a pale complexion.   Katy will have an entourage of people that will help her with dressing and makeup application. It should stay put for some hours but what if she wanted it permanent –would it suit her? Does she need it as she is so young? I could answer, that she is already beautiful and young and doesn’t need any perfecting!

If Katy Perry came to me for permanent makeup I would listen to her main reasons for permanent makeup ie lips, brows or eyeliner.  I certainly have a considerable amount of young women in their 20’s come to my permanent makeup clinic. If they are looking to change their faces completely and not happy with their young beauty, I would advise them permanent makeup with me is not for them. This leads me back to permanent makeup for Katy Perry if she requested permanent makeup or semi permanent makeup.

For me to carry out a permanent makeup procedure on Katy Perry or any other young woman the reasons would need to be – uneven over tweezed brows – my permanent makeup brows would provide fullness and symmetry to aid the framing of the face.

Eyeliner to stay put and no more reapplication due to smudging and running down the face. Certainly Katy loves her Latino style eyeliner but a more subtle/medium eyeliner would give her the option to look natural in the day and a base to further enhance the effect in the evening. Ideal!

So to lips, most young women have full lips whether they are small, medium or large lips like Angelina Jolie! The difference in lips of a 20 year old to a 40 plus women is fullness and a defined contour of the lip. For Katy I would not need to correct loss of definition as her lips are beautiful and do not need at this stage in her life. A permanent makeup lip blush with a beautiful Nouveau Contour pink colour would be the best choice. A permanent lip blush enhances the lips by implanting the chosen colour subtly in the lips. So no strong lip line, or powerful colour for Katy that’s for her stage makeup. Perhaps you would like the same?

So Katy if you would like to receive a professional permanent makeup procedure come and see me at any of my permanent makeup clinics in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, London and Middlesex. I would love to meet you and please bring me a copy of your latest album! Cheeky!

Permanent makeup prices start at £425-£600.

Beautiful Celebrities: Can Permanent Makeup Help?

We all have our favourite celebrities but which ones have the most beautiful endorsements?

Cheryl-Cole-Permanent-Makeup

Beauty companies and the constant stream of endorsements seem to believe that Cheryl Cole and David Beckham are the ideal examples of ‘beautiful’ man and woman. But would you agree? Well, the general public certainly seems to if an article in the Daily Mail is to be believed.

Using 100 volunteers to produce an image of an attractive male or female faces and the police e-fit techniques then combined them into one male and female face. These features were then compared too real celebrities and surprise, surprise, Miss Cheryl Cole’s facial proportions were found to be the best match for the perfect female face and David Beckham’s of the male face.

Cheryl Cole has so many of the classic features of beauty – the wide eyes, the narrower than average nose, the small mouth with full lips and the high slim eyebrows.

David-Beckham-MakeupDavid Beckham was found to have the perfect nose, eyes and smile. The study, coincided with the release of beauty and the beast on blue-Ray, found a consensus on what constitutes ‘beauty’. Perfect women need a smooth complexion, large eyes, full lips and a narrow nose. Men need a lean face with visible but not protruding cheek bones, a narrow bottom of their nose, deep coloured eyes and a soft small jaw line.

However, the study also found many volunteers did not want any prospective partners to have a perfect face. Many men said that a technically perfect female face looked ‘cold’ and ‘lifeless’. This suggests that what we recognise to be “perfect” beauty is not necessarily the same as what we see as attainable or desirable in a partner.

Personally and professionally many of us strive for perfection in what we do and how we look. Realistically we know we cannot always achieve this, however, enhancing the features we were given with permanent makeup provides many benefits. Confidence building, raising self-esteem to name a few. High definition permanent eyebrows create that anti-ageing effect, permanent eyeliner creates the almond effect to widen the eyes and permanent lip colour adds the refreshed full lip look.

All these procedures can be carried out at my clinics in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes, Hertfordshire, Middlesex and London. Call for a free consultation on 07980 578252.

Eyebrow Shaping Ideas: Celebrity Eyebrows

Get Eyebrow Shaping Ideas From Your Favourite Celebrity Eyebrows!

What Celebrity brows would you like? – Megan Fox?  Jennifer Aniston? Kim Kardashian?

On occasions, I am  asked to work on celebrities that require my permanent makeup skills to enhance their existing brows.  It’s not surprising with all these glamorous eyebrows on celebrities that they are starting to set trends for eyebrow shapes too.  Arched, curved and the high definition brows are the most flattering and age defying to have.

A big thank you to TV and celebrity magazines like OK and Hello, they do a great job in revealing the life’s and beauty tips of so many beautiful celebrities.  This is one of the reasons that it has become common practice every day at my clinic for new clients to ask for celebrity brows!  A celebrity brow is an ambiguous description as every celebrity has different shaped brows!  I would advise that ‘just because a celebrity is your favourite, doesn’t mean you should necessarily choose an eyebrow shape just because they have it unless of course, it would suit your face shape too.’

You may well ask how I figure out what they really need.  Well as a permanent makeup specialist with over 18 years experience in permanent makeup, makeup artistry and beauty I’m competently qualified to just know.  As soon as a client walks into my clinic I can see what will suit them.

If they are set on celebrity brows, I would suggest we look at a celebrity that closely resembles their face structure (round, thin, apple, etc. shaped face). Something that looks amazing on Megan Fox just might not look that wonderful on a woman who looks more like Jennifer Aniston.  To give further assurance, I then draw on brow enhancement so the client can see the perfect brow for them.  Bingo they get the picture!  Then the procedure begins.

So what I have created to help you choose your most favourite celebrity brow that matches with your face shape, a gallery of some of the best celebrity’s eyebrow photos.   If you have plenty brow hair all of these shapes are achievable by using various styling methods like waxing, tweezing and threading.  But more than often, most women have sparse brows, have over plucked brows or hair loss due to medical reasons.  This is where permanent cosmetic makeup can give you back stunning brows that will stay put 24/7, smudge-free with an age defying finish.

I hope you will enjoy this read and ultimately will inspire you to do something with your brows if needed. After all, they are the most important feature on your face. If you don’t believe me take a look at the last two photos in the gallery! Can you afford to be brow less?

Celebrity Fitzpatrick Scale

Our article illustrating the Fitzpatrick Scale, and allowing you to find which skin tone you are prompted quite a mixed response.  Some found it useful, but it was also mentioned that something that would really help would be a ”yardstick” of sorts, at least something to compare yourself with.

With that in mind, I’ve added a gallery of celebrities, in order of their position on the Fitzpatrick Scale.
